COVID-19 Update from Wesbild

To Our Valued Clients and Business Partners,

With the rapidly changing landscape around COVID-19, we want to reach out to express our response plans due to the challenges presented by this global health crisis. Our thoughts are with those most impacted by COVID-19, and we thank the many healthcare professionals, public health organizations, and other front-line workers for their tireless efforts to “flatten the curve” on all of our behalf.

First and foremost, we are following the Canadian health authorities’ advice for the health and safety of our employees, tenants, customers, and partners. We have moved to a remote operations model for our Vancouver Wesbild office and facilitated remote working capabilities for our employees. While we won’t be holding meetings in person, please don’t hesitate to reach out for a video or phone call.

We have increased the cleaning and maintenance programs for our shopping centres, reduced hours where needed and will fully support our essential services tenants. For the tenants who have had to temporarily close, we will be reaching out next week as information becomes available about the economic plans being announced daily. Our goal is to find ways to partner to make sure we all weather the economic effect of the health and safety measures in place.

The Predator Ridge Team is communicating directly with the homeowners and resort customers and information can be found on the Predator Ridge website. Unfortunately, we have had to close our resort business and the team is working to provide to-go meals and other programs to help our homeowners. We are also providing as much support as possible for the employees affected by these changes.

We must recognize that the economic challenges we are all facing are extensive and will require a paradigm shift in how we look at our existing projects and plans. Some projects will continue forward as usual, and others we will be hitting the pause button until such time as we understand the longer term view.

We will be relying on the strength of our team to adapt and to continue to collaborate with our tenants, clients, customers, and partners. We wish we could say it is business as usual, but it is not and we must adjust and react accordingly. We will move our projects forward and operate as best as possible in light of the circumstances.

If you have any questions about the steps we are taking, feel free to reach out to us.

Sincerely,

Kevin Layden
