Wesbild Celebrates the 8th Anniversary of Wesbild LIFT

On Saturday, we proudly celebrated the 8th Anniversary of our Wesbild LIFT (Learning Initiative For Tomorrow) Scholarship Program. In the last eight years, we have awarded 114 scholarships worth over $200,000 for CABE graduates to pursue post-secondary education and training.

The CABE program is a School District 43 – Coquitlam program that offers an alternative educational delivery model for students looking for a different educational experience. The school uses individualized, self-paced instructional programs in the core subjects (Math, Science, Socials, English) and an expanding selection of elective opportunities to help students pursue graduation. Wesbild LIFT Recipients are pursuing careers in early childhood education, trades, justice, social work and
more.

The success of the program would not be possible without the amazing educators at CABE and the support of the Port Coquitlam Community Foundation who manage the financial fund on behalf of Wesbild.

We are so pleased with the success of our Wesbild LIFT Recipients and being a part of their educational journey. This year also saw a huge milestone with our first Wesbild LIFT recipient to receive their Bachelors degree.
